FIVE LOAVES, TWO FISH AND A GRANDE LATTE Remember the little boy in Mark who gave up his lunch? Just a little bit of bread and fish, probably leftovers his mom packed from last night's dinner. But his readiness to give a "little" meant that thousands of people were fed. See, last week we asked you for $3.26. Exactly how much it costs for a grand latte at Starbucks. We figured the best way to raise a lot of money ($18,000 to be exact) was to ask each of you for just a little (just $3.26). And guess what? The experiment is working. Last week 95 of you participated and gave just over $1500! We've celebrated each little donation because it means we're a little closer to meeting our need. Now imagine if everyone reading this gave just a little. What if each of you gave like the little boy with his meager lunch? What if your little girl gave up a week of allowance? What if your family gave up one pizza night? Or two loaves of whole-grain Brownberry bread for $9.50. Maybe a couple of fish sticks for the kiddos? Just $13.18. (Or go all-out sophisticated and spot a fancy salmon dinner for $82.88.) And of course, a grande latte from Starbucks is exactly $3.26. This kind of experiment only works if everyone participates.Can you give us your loaves and fishes? Your readiness to give a "little" means the sweet girls growing up in the New York Bronx and inner-city Chicago have a chance to avoid the pain of sexual sin, STDs and teen pregnancy. It means this generation of boys could grow up without being addicted to porn because they're too busy kicking down brothel doors and protecting the innocent. It means our sons and daughters have the chance to walk through their teen years and into their marriage covenant with un-broken hearts.Your readiness to give a "little" means that thousands of people will be fed. Don't wait for someone else to volunteer their lunch...or their latte. We need donations by June 5th at the very latest. Give a little. And watch it turn into a lot.   HOW TO SHOP FOR SUMMER CLOTHES Seems like the sun comes out and the clothes come off...but not for a Secret Keeper Girl! Need to stay cool (literally and figuratively) during the hot and humid summer months? We have you (literally and figuratively) covered! Since you won't often find modest clothing right off the rack, here are a few problem spots, each with an SKG-approved solution.  Short Shorts: Vote for inseams! This season opt for a pair of bermudas, cargo shorts or cropped pants, an easy task since those are in style. (Justice even lets you shop for shorts online by the length of the inseam). But don't worry too much about measuring inches. We recommend testing your shorts by sitting cross-legged in front of a mirror. If you can see too much thigh or undies, so can everyone else!    Tank Tops: Spaghetti strapped tanks are guaranteed to show off bra straps...and sometimes they're cut so low you see a lot more than just the straps! This is where a Secret Weapon comes in really handy. Stock up on men's or boy's A-line tank tops. They're light, breathable, high, long AND have nice thick straps. Throw one on under your favorite tank for an adorable and modest layered look that's perfect for the beach (speaking of the beach, here's a guide to modest swimsuit shopping). Lots of Leggings: Lately we've noticed that girls are kind of confused about leggings. Even though they cover a lot of surface area, leggings are NOT the same as pants! Skin-tight leggings show off too much of your shape (and often your panty lines!) if worn on their own. If leggings are totally your style, just make sure to throw a cute skirt or dress over the top.   Swish-able Skirts:  Miniskirts arestill popular (now this is where leggings can be great!), but the real trend this season is the maxi dress! Oooooh we sure do love their easy-breezy style. They're long, fun and feminine and always available in lots of colors and patterns. Just be careful and watch the top half-they tend to be low-cut. Again, throw on a Secret Weapon and you're good to go!   Crop Tops:The fashion world has gone back to the eighties and that means crop tops! We like 'em, love 'em, can't get enough of 'em...but we still have to layer 'em. Crop tops almost always fail the "raise and praise" test (throw your arms up in the air like you're praising Jesus), so keep that belly a secret and add a long tank top, t-shirt, or Secret Weapon underneath. There, you look fabulous!   Some of our favorite stores this season include Justice, GAP kids, Kohl's, Target, Aeropostale and The Children's Place. But remember that modesty takes creativity...as long as you're willing to put some thought into your outfits, you can shop almost anywhere!   P.S.
